About this care
Daycare Ukkie is the place for little adventurers at Arnhemseweg 156A in Apeldoorn. As part of childcare organization KOOS, we offer a magical world where children aged 0 to 4 can play, learn and grow. In our playful and colorful environment, there's something new to discover every day.
We craft and build, sing and dance, observe and explore. At Ukkie, we never get bored! We play games, read exciting stories and even go on adventurous excursions. And of course, we make lots of friends along the way.
Our pedagogical staff create a safe environment where all children can fully experience daily life, have fun and feel safe. With us, the positive is central: we see what you can do, sometimes even before you realize it yourself.
Ukkie has 2 baby groups (0-2 years), 1 toddler group (2.5-4 years) and 3 vertical flexible groups (0-4 years) with permanent pedagogical staff. We offer flexible childcare from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday. We currently have childcare places available for children!Read more

Strengths
- The pedagogical policy is complete and implemented as written, including theme-based work with Uk&Puk and mentorship
- All staff are correctly registered in the childcare personnel register and hold a Certificate of Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag/VOG)
- Staff meet qualification requirements, including infant care training and the IKK language proficiency requirement
- Sufficient qualified staff present according to statutory ratios
- The safety and health policy is comprehensive and up to date, including risk assessments (RI&E) and protocols
- The accommodation meets requirements with suitable group rooms, sleeping areas, and outdoor spaces
- New group room and outdoor space successfully put into use following renovation
Shortcomings
- The safe sleeping protocol contains a discrepancy regarding the use of canopies with hanging cradles; the policy will be amended and implemented in 2027
- The legally required description of coaching hours per LRK (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang) number is missing from the policy
- The parent committee regulations are designed for a parent committee per location and have not been adapted for the combined parent committee
- The parent committee regulations do not include a policy on discussing inspection reports with the parent committee
- The location of the safety and health policy for staff must be described more clearly
- A movable shelf near the emergency exit poses a safety risk and must be addressed in the policy
Summary
Kinderdagverblijf Ukkie at Arnhemseweg 156A in Apeldoorn was inspected on 5 June 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Noord- en Oost-Gelderland. The daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) provides daycare for 30 children aged 0-4 years, divided across two vertical groups (Zazati and Bumba). The inspection covered the domains of pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and accommodation. The overall conclusion is that the location meets the assessed requirements. Several points for attention were identified, including a discrepancy in the safe sleeping protocol, a missing description of the safety policy per LRK number, and a risk posed by a movable shelf near the emergency exit. No violations were established and no recovery offer was issued. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
