Summary

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected after-school care (BSO) Toermalijn in Wormerveer on 4 August 2026. The location, part of TintelTuin, provides care for 46 children in the IKC Toermalijn school building. Overall, the childcare meets the quality requirements well. The pedagogical climate is positive: there is a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere and the staff are engaged and sensitive. Personnel matters and the domestic violence reporting protocol are also in order. There were two points of attention. First, staff did not have sufficient knowledge of the procedure for suspected abuse by a colleague or manager, including contact with the confidential inspector. This was resolved through a recovery offer. Second, there is currently no full parent committee, although the operator is actively recruiting parents. The GGD advises against enforcement.
