About this care
BSO Het Sportkasteel is part of To Be Kind and provides professional after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 years. We are located on the ground floor of primary school De Wissel at Oortlaan 1 in Utrecht.
Our BSO has three horizontally organized groups. We pick up children after school from De Wissel and other nearby schools. Upon arrival, children receive a healthy snack consisting of fruit and a cracker, water and tea. We provide suitable alternatives for children with allergies.
We offer a loving and safe environment with Christian values and norms. Our pedagogical staff pay great attention to the personal development of children and guide them in this process.
BSO Het Sportkasteel is an active BSO where sports and physical activity are central. In addition to sports activities, there are also plenty of opportunities to relax such as reading, playing games and doing crafts. We use the gymnasium of De Wissel and have access to the green fort for outdoor activities.
Our opening hours are from 14:15 to 18:00 on Monday through Thursday. During vacation periods and study days, we provide care from 07:30 to 18:00.Read more

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected the after-school care (BSO) Kinderopvang De Wissel Utrecht of Stichting Kibeo on April 28 and May 12, 2026. The location, housed in primary school De Wissel, accommodates 44 children in two groups. Although the pedagogical climate was assessed as sufficient, the location does not fully meet the quality standards. Serious shortcomings were identified in the areas of hygiene, safety, and accommodation. The toilets and group rooms were seriously soiled, with mouse droppings and unhygienic materials. The backup/emergency coverage was also unreachable and the indoor spaces were insufficiently furnished. The holder has taken measures on many points, but at the follow-up visit on May 12, the hygiene problems had still not been resolved. The GGD advises enforcement.
