Basker International - The Estate

Welcome to The Estate Day Care, located in the beautiful Benoordenhout district of The Hague. Our listed building was completely renovated in 2014 and is recognised as one of the most energy-efficient and environmentally friendly childcare centres in the Netherlands. With over 3000 m² of landscaped gardens designed specifically for the different age groups, we provide a unique setting for children aged 0–4 years. Our pedagogical team follows the Zein approach: internationally oriented, focusing on individual development within a warm, home-like atmosphere. We offer both English-speaking and bilingual (English-Dutch) groups. Every day our full-time chef prepares fresh, organic and nutritious meals and snacks. For the youngest ones we provide bottle feeding and nappies; special diets and allergies are of course carefully managed in consultation with parents. The outdoor space is a true paradise: a natural playground with age-appropriate areas, a tree house, swings and wooden bridge, sports court, vegetable gardens, trampoline, survival trail and a small petting area. We also organise regular excursions to places such as a children’s farm, the beach or the park. Indoors we have an open central hall for play, a parents’ lounge with coffee corner and free Wi-Fi, and separate sleeping rooms for rest periods. The Estate is centrally located and easily accessible by car (private car park), bicycle (ample parking space) and public transport.
