About this care
Welcome to The Estate Day Care by Basker International Childcare, located in the beautiful Benoordenhout area of The Hague. This former Zein location offers day care for children aged 0–4 years in a fully remodelled historic building with 3,000 m² of natural gardens.
Our international team follows a pedagogic approach centred on safety, curiosity, and independence. We offer both fully English-speaking and bilingual (English-Dutch) groups. Every day our on-site chef prepares fresh, organic and nutritious warm meals. For the youngest children we provide bottles, nappies and formula; special diets are of course managed in consultation with parents.
The outdoor space is a paradise with a sandpit, water play, bikes, sports court, and more. Indoors we have a parents' room, an open central hall for play, and separate sleeping areas. The annual inspection on 17 March 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Basker International - The Estate in Den Haag shows a location that fully complies with all laws and regulations. The childcare center provides care for a maximum of 128 children aged 0-4, primarily children of expats, with English as the language of communication. Since March 2026, multilingual care (English-Dutch) has been offered in three of the eight groups. The inspection included document review, site visit, and interviews with staff.
