About this care
Welcome to The Daisy Chain Playgroup, a centrally located English-speaking daycare facility in The Hague that has been established for over 30 years. We welcome children from age 2 up to the day before their 5th birthday in a warm and stimulating environment.
Our mission is to help children become self-confident through structured teaching and play, learn vital social skills, and encourage curiosity and inquisitiveness. We provide a happy and safe atmosphere where children can play and have fun while also learning in a structured environment.
All our sessions are conducted in English by predominantly native English-speaking teachers. We maintain a low teacher-to-child ratio to ensure optimal guidance. We specifically focus on developing social skills such as being polite, sharing, and queuing - skills that are essential for the transition from home life to school.

Summary
The Daisy Chain Playgroup is an English-language toddler group in The Hague offering half-day care for up to 16 children aged 2–4, mainly from expat families. The 2 October 2025 inspection shows the centre meets almost all legal quality standards. Staff provide warm, responsive interactions, varied activities and safe routines; all employees hold required diplomas, VOGs (Certificate of Good Conduct) and first-aid certificates; ratios, group stability and safety policies are in order. One violation was found: the internal complaints procedure lacked several mandatory elements. The provider accepted a remedial offer and supplied an amended procedure within the set period; the breach is now closed. No enforcement action is recommended.
