Welcome to Peuteropvang De Ark, a trusted Christian toddler care centre in the heart of Woudenberg. For 25 years we have provided high-quality care for children aged 2½–4 in a safe, cheerful environment built on trust, fun and conscious choices. Our permanent team of experienced, qualified pedagogical staff guide your child playfully towards primary school. Language development and learning through play are at the heart of everything we do. We use the recognised Early Childhood Education programme ‘Uk & Puk’, working within meaningful themes to stimulate each child’s motor, social-emotional and language skills. Every morning begins with a shared moment of singing and story time, followed by small-group activities such as crafts, construction, role play and discovery in our nature garden. The garden borders our classroom, so on fine days we spend plenty of time outdoors. We believe in a healthy lifestyle. Children enjoy a nutritious daily lunch, sensitive skin is protected with Dr. Jetske Ultee sunscreen, and we encourage as much fresh-air play as possible. Nappies, wipes, fruit and drinks are all included; parents only supply any special dietary products. Our Christian identity is evident in daily life: we say grace before meals, read stories from the children’s Bible and celebrate Christian festivals.
