About this care
STH IKC De Gaerde is a daycare centre located in the Seghwaert district of Zoetermeer. We provide care for a maximum of 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our daycare is part of the integral child centre De Gaerde, located at Moerbeigaarde 60. We work closely with the primary school housed in the same building.
Our location is small-scale and manageable, allowing us to give personal attention to each child. Our pedagogical staff create a safe and familiar environment where children can develop at their own pace. We follow a daily structure that suits young children, with sufficient rest periods and playtime.

Summary
GGD Haaglanden conducted an unannounced incidental inspection at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) STH IKC De Gaerde in Zoetermeer on 24 August 2026. The inspection concerned an application to expand from 16 to 30 childcare places, as a satellite location (STH de Kasteeltuyn) is relocating to this site. The inspection assessed the premises, staff qualifications and change procedure. All investigated conditions have been met. However, the premises can accommodate a maximum of 29 childcare places instead of the requested 30, due to the available floor space of the group rooms (56.6 m² and 48.3 m²). The outdoor playground of 306 m² is shared with the school, with STH children wearing recognisable vests. All childcare professionals hold appropriate qualifications, Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and meet the IKK language requirement.
