Violations

• Out-of-contract care: settling-in sessions took place without being included in the written agreement (Article 1.52 of the Childcare Act)
• Failure to act in accordance with the safety and health policy: staff wore artificial nails without this being consistently included in the policy and without proper hand hygiene measures (Article 1.49(1) and 1.50(1) and (2) of the Childcare Act)

Summary

The annual inspection by GGD Limburg-Noord on 4 May 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Sproetje in Venlo shows that the location meets all assessed legal requirements following two recovery offers. Sproetje provides care for 76 children aged 0-4 years in five core groups and is operated by Spring Kinderopvang BV. The pedagogical practice is strong: staff act sensitively, provide emotional safety, and stimulate children's development. Two violations were identified. First, out-of-contract care occurred during settling-in sessions without these being included in the written agreement. Second, staff failed to act in accordance with the safety and health policy by wearing artificial nails without consistent hand hygiene measures. Both violations have been remedied following the recovery offer. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
