Summary

Sport BSO in Wageningen, an after-school care (BSO) for a maximum of 30 children (ages 4-13), was inspected by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) on 23 March 2026. The location meets most quality requirements, including administration, pedagogical climate, staff, and accommodation. However, shortcomings were identified in the area of safety and health. A recovery offer was made for three topics: safety and health policy, domestic violence reporting code, and mandatory reporting obligation. The reporting code and mandatory reporting obligation have been restored, but the safety and health policy has not. Issues concerned hand hygiene without soap, missing missing-child protocol, and undescribed choking risks. Children ate fruit while walking during sports activities. After the recovery period, improvements were visible (eating while seated), but soap was still missing for handwashing and one staff member had not been informed about protocols. The GGD recommends enforcement action.
