Welcome to SKSG Zuiderzon, our after-school care location at Chopinlaan 4 in Groningen. As part of the Stichting Kinderopvang Stad Groningen (SKSG), we have been providing after-school care for up to 120 school children aged 4 to 13 years since 2012.
At SKSG Zuiderzon, we believe that every child is unique and has their own talents. That's why we work with multiple intelligences, recognizing and stimulating the different intelligences children possess. Our pedagogical staff provide a rich learning environment together with the children where they can develop in their own way and at their own pace.
Our TOP program (Time for Relaxation and Fun) is central to our approach. After an intensive school day, children can relax with us, play with peers, and participate in challenging activities. We offer a safe and familiar environment where personal attention is paramount. Our location is situated in a green environment, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere for the children.

The annual inspection of 20 August 2026 of after-school care (BSO) SKSG Zuiderzon in Groningen shows that the location meets all assessed quality requirements. The after-school care (buitenschoolse opvang/BSO), located in building De Componist with five base groups for 120 childcare places, provides responsible care. The pedagogical practice meets the four basic objectives: emotional safety, personal competence, social competence, and socialisation. Staff respond warmly and supportively, children are given space for their own initiative and freedom of choice. Requirements are also met regarding staff (VOG certificates, qualifications, staff-child ratios, mentors) and parental rights (information provision, complaints procedure, disputes committee). No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The advice to the municipal executive is: no enforcement action.
