About this care
Welcome to SkippyPepijn BSO Quokka, located at Bakenpad 7 in Pijnacker. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 8 years. Our location is housed in primary school De Koningshof, allowing children to transition directly into a familiar environment after school.
At BSO Quokka, learning through play is central. We offer a wide range of activities, including music and dance. During our Music & Dance workshop, we start by listening to music: scales, rhythms and intonations. The children make their own music with instruments such as drums, triangles and flutes. We also focus on presentation and performing a combination of music and dance. If there is interest, we work towards a performance.
Our pedagogical approach is based on our 'pedagogical circle'. We think carefully about how we interact with your child. We call this our 'pedagogical action'. In the first four years of life, your child develops characteristics and knowledge that are determining for the rest of his or her life.

Two violations were identified: insufficient knowledge among the team regarding the duty to report, consult and file official notifications in cases of suspected domestic violence by persons in positions of authority, and the absence of a parent committee despite the legal obligation. The first violation has since been resolved following a recovery offer; the provider discussed the topic again with the team and made information materials available. For the missing parent committee, parents are being actively recruited through newsletters, posters and parent evenings. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement action.
