Childminder agency SharedCare provides small-scale childminder care (gastouderopvang) in the province of Groningen and surrounding areas. We match parents with childminders (gastouders) for care at the childminder's home or at your own home. Subsidy & costs
Childminder care (gastouderopvang) through SharedCare is formal childcare, which means parents are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) if they meet the conditions. In 2026, you can receive up to €8.49 per hour in childcare benefit, depending on your income. We're happy to help parents with questions about childcare benefit and can provide a quote in advance. Parents never pay the childminder directly; all payments go through the childminder agency, which is required for benefit applications.
The costs consist of two parts: a fee for the childminder (€7.50-€8.50 per hour) and agency fees for SharedCare (€0.95 per hour per child with a monthly maximum). For the first child, the maximum is €57.00 per month, for the second child €39.00, and for each additional child €27.00. With many childcare hours, you'll never pay more than these monthly maximums. For in-home childminder care, the agency fees are at least €45.00 per month, also with a maximum.
Trust & screening
We carefully select childminders based on their warm and positive approach. All childminders must meet strict requirements: an MBO-2 diploma in Care and Welfare Assistance (or equivalent), a registered first aid certificate for children, a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) for all household members aged 18+, and good health. We also check whether the childcare location is safe and suitable, with annual risk assessments on location.
Childminder agency (gastouderbureau) SharedCare is registered in the National Childcare and Preschool Register (LRKP) under registration number 214980261. We are inspected annually by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) and are members of the national childcare disputes committee. Our childminders hold a Certificate of Conduct (VOG), a first aid certificate, and meet all legal quality requirements. We are affiliated with St. Nysa, the trade association for childminders.
