About this care
Second Home Kinderopvang B.V. at Thérèse Schwartzestraat 45 in Almere-Stad is our Picasso location: a homely daycare centre for children aged 0 to 4 years. We provide a warm second home to a maximum of 27 children in a safe and familiar environment where every child is free to be themselves, play, explore and grow.
Our focus is on fun and development. Each day our qualified pedagogical staff guide the children through enjoyable play activities that match their curiosity and age. We believe children should feel safe and at home; therefore we maintain a family atmosphere with familiar faces and a clear daily rhythm.
To support parents we offer a pick-up and drop-off service and serve a fresh, warm meal every day that the children love. This allows parents to bring their child to us with peace of mind, knowing they are well cared for.

Summary
GGD Flevoland conducted an unannounced annual inspection at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Second Home Picasso in Almere on 30 October 2025. The location provides care for 27 children in two horizontal core groups (0-2 and 2-4 years). The inspection report concludes that the childcare facility meets all statutory requirements. The pedagogical practice was assessed positively: children show good wellbeing, there are familiar faces, calm and routine, and staff work with sensitive responsiveness. The pedagogical policy plan is complete and well implemented. All staff are correctly registered in the PRK, hold appropriate qualifications and meet the IKK language requirement. The pedagogical policy staff member is deployed adequately and all staff receive coaching. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The advice to the municipality is to take no enforcement action.
