Kindercentrum Schaberg (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in 's-Gravenhage, part of Stichting Protestants Christelijke Peuterspeelzalen, provides early childhood education (VE) to a maximum of 16 toddlers aged 2.5–4 years. The pedagogical policy (2025–2028) is up-to-date, aligns with the four Riksen-Walraven objectives, and is consistently implemented. The space is arranged with recognizable play corners, 'spring' theme materials, and the KIJK! tracking system. The VE programme Uk & Puk is offered 16 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, enabling each child to receive 960 hours of VE. Staff members are VE-qualified, have language proficiency level 3F, and meet the BKR-VE ratio (1:8). The PBM-VE/coach is deployed for a minimum of 160 hours per year for coaching, observation, and parental involvement. Parents are involved through an app, newsletters, coffee mornings, and open play sessions. Fixed groups, familiar faces, and a mentor per child ensure stability. Indoor (62 m²) and outdoor (≥80 m²) spaces are more than sufficient and safe. All staff members are registered in the PRK with a Certificate of Conduct (VOG).
