About this care
Welcome to Sam&koos, our day-care centre at Ceintuurbaan 10 in Deventer. We are part of SamenKO, the professional child-care organisation for Deventer and the surrounding area. Children aged 0 to 4 find a safe, home-like place where they can discover, develop and grow through play.
Our location uses horizontal groups: babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers are cared for separately so that activities and care match their exact age and developmental stage. Every day our pedagogical staff provide warm attention, a clear daily rhythm and plenty of rest and play moments. We offer room for children’s own initiative as well as structured activities tailored to young children’s curiosity.

Summary
GGD IJsselland conducted an unannounced inspection of the daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Sam &koos at Ceintuurbaan in Deventer. All assessed areas – pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, parental rights – meet statutory requirements. The location provides early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE) according to the Pyramid program for 92 childcare places; the VE group has a maximum of 16 children with at least 1 qualified childcare professional per 8 children. Staff hold valid Certificates of Good Conduct (VOG), first aid/ER certificates and required VE qualifications (3F language proficiency level). Policy plans for pedagogy, safety and health are up-to-date, evaluated annually and adhered to. A domestic violence reporting protocol and complaints procedure are in place; parents are informed via website, parent portal and newsletters. The combined parent committee is active and the latest annual complaints report (2024) was adopted and published on time. No violations or areas for improvement identified. Recommendation to municipality: no enforcement needed.
