Summary

This inspection report concerns a registration investigation of host parent S. Fatehmahomed at Grote Visserijstraat 12A 01 in Rotterdam, brokered by host parent agency de Haasjes. The host parent is applying for five childcare places for children aged 0 to 13 years. The inspection took place before the care commenced. All assessed quality requirements were found to be in order: registration, pedagogical practice, Certificate of Conduct, host parent expertise, language of communication, play and sleeping space, group composition, backup caregiver, risk assessment and domestic violence reporting code. Although the pedagogical practice was not directly observed, the inspector expects based on the interview that the host parent can start responsibly. Two risks were missing from the risk assessment: the risk of lead poisoning from lead pipes (pre-1960 home) and the risk of stair climbing with young children in a multi-storey home. These were discussed with the host parent; she is taking measures herself. The host parent agency must still include the risks in the assessment. There are no violations or recovery offers.
