Subsidy & costs
Parents can apply for childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) for childminder (gastouder) care with Roodkapje. Our childminders and the bureau are registered in the National Childcare Register, which is required for benefit eligibility. We offer support through a benefit coach who helps with applications, changes, and objection procedures. The benefit is calculated against a maximum hourly rate set annually by the Tax and Customs Administration.
The costs for childminder (gastouder) care consist of two parts: the childminder's hourly rate and bureau costs of €0.85 per care hour (minimum €30, maximum €100 per month). Childminders set their own hourly rate, usually around the maximum benefit rate set by the Tax and Customs Administration. There are no registration fees. Consultants visit childminders at least twice a year, carry out annual risk assessments for safety, and ensure continuing education in pedagogy, the child abuse reporting code, and fire safety. The care location is assessed annually for safety and health.
Gastouderbureau Roodkapje meets all legal requirements for childminder (gastouder) care. All childminders are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) and the Childcare Personnel Register.
