Summary

Quality First, We Care, Day Care! is a small-scale daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Amsterdam with 37 places, divided across three groups. The inspection visit on 11 September 2025 shows generally positive pedagogical practice: children experience emotional safety, receive targeted guidance with emotions and social skills, and there is a clear development and settling-in policy. Parents are well informed through the website, newsletters, and a mentor period. A pedagogical coach is present and all childcare professionals have the correct diplomas and Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). One violation was identified: the supervision plan of a childcare professional in training (BBL'er) lacked the mandatory signature prior to formative deployment. Following the recovery offer, the plan was subsequently signed and filed; the violation has thus been terminated. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality not to impose enforcement measures.
