Provinciaal Gastouderbureau offers parents reliable childminder (gastouder) care in a homely environment. Our childminders look after a maximum of 6 children in their own homes, ensuring small-scale care, consistency, and personal attention. We offer various forms of care, including regular childminder care, care by grandpa or grandma (childminder care at home), and nanny care for families with more than 2 children. All care takes place under the professional guidance of our agency, and we ensure the right match between parent and childminder.
Subsidy & costs
We arrange the childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) from A to Z for parents. For incomes up to €47,403, the government reimburses up to 96% of the maximum reimbursable hourly rate in 2025. The maximum rate for childminder care in 2025 is €8.10 per hour. We provide up-to-date benefit tables for 2024 and 2025 on our website and advise parents to download the Tax Authority app for convenience. Our recommended rate for childminder (gastouder) care is €8.10 per care hour per child in 2025. This amount consists of €7.15 per hour for the childminder and €0.95 agency costs per hour (with a minimum of 6 hours per week, at least 40 weeks per year). For fewer hours, the agency costs are €2.55 per hour. Childminders are free to set their own rate, but benefit is only reimbursed up to the maximum rate of €8.10. For nanny care, we provide customised solutions and will visit you for a personal quote based on your situation.
Trust & screening
All childminders (gastouders) at Provinciaal Gastouderbureau undergo thorough screening. They must hold a valid first aid certificate for children and a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). In addition, all our childminders have a pedagogical background. Everyone in the household over 18 is registered with a VOG in the PRKP childcare personnel register. Childminders are assessed annually on their knowledge of and compliance with our pedagogical policy plan.
