About this care
Prokino Nooterhof is our daycare centre located in De Kruidwisch, right in the heart of Doepark Nooterhof in Zwolle. We provide loving day care for children aged 0 to 4 years. Thanks to our unique location in the park, we have plenty of space to play, move and explore nature.
We offer age-appropriate activities for every stage. For babies, we follow the home rhythm as much as possible: feeding and sleeping occur at the times your family is used to. For toddlers and preschoolers, we follow a fixed daily schedule in which meals, drinks, play and joint activities take place at set times. This structure helps children feel safe and secure.
Our pedagogical staff provide varied activities every day: reading books, doing arts and crafts, singing, puppet theatre, cooking and, of course, lots of outdoor play. We have our own vegetable garden and regularly visit the petting zoo and the doepark. Fresh fruit and vegetables are served as snacks every day, in line with our green childcare philosophy.

Summary
GGD IJsselland conducted an unannounced incidental inspection on 9 June 2026 at Prokino Nooterhof daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Zwolle following anonymous reports of a mouse infestation. The inspection focused on safety and health. Serious deficiencies were identified: mouse droppings in group rooms, under mattresses, in a baby chair and in the office, signs of mouse activity in virtually all areas, strong smell of mouse urine, food residue on the floor, dust accumulation and insufficient cleaning. The safety and health policy was insufficiently concrete regarding pest risks and lacked an up-to-date action plan. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) issued a written enforcement order requiring the childcare to cease operations immediately and to implement measures by 17 June 2026, including professional pest control, structural modifications, thorough cleaning and revision of the policy. At the re-inspection on 16 June 2026, it was found that the operator had implemented all measures in a timely and adequate manner. The location was clean, the odor had disappeared, new flooring had been laid, gaps had been sealed and the policy had been revised with concrete work agreements and monitoring. The violations have been remedied and the location was able to reopen on 17 June 2026.
