About this care
Prokino Don Bosco is a small-scale toddler care centre located on the grounds of primary school Don Bosco at Nolensweg 1 in Dordrecht. We welcome children aged 2 to 4 years in groups of up to 15 children, providing a safe and familiar place to play, discover and prepare for primary school.
Our qualified staff encourage learning through play. We sing songs, read books, do arts and crafts and follow the engaging themes of the Piramide programme. Outdoors, children enjoy a playground with sandpit and climbing equipment, allowing them to move freely and explore nature.
We work closely with Don Bosco primary school; all activities are aligned with the school curriculum, ensuring a smooth transition when children turn four. To further stimulate development, we offer Early Childhood Education (VE). Language games and social activities help toddlers build language skills and learn to play, listen and share together.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection report of 14 April 2026 concerns a follow-up investigation of Prokino Don Bosco POV in Dordrecht, a toddler playgroup (peuterspeelgroep) for a maximum of 15 children aged 2 to 4 years. This unannounced inspection focused on two shortcomings from the annual inspection of 26 September 2025: the language requirement 3F for one staff member and the staff-to-child ratio for early childhood education. The provider now complies with both assessed conditions. Staff members hold the required 3F language certificates and the ratio of at least 1 staff member per 8 children is in order. The location has a history of shortcomings, including a resolved recovery offer (herstelaanbod) in 2024 for the training plan and four unresolved shortcomings that were later addressed. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises no enforcement action.
