Summary

This inspection report concerns POV IKC de Steenuil in Deventer, a new toddler care location (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) of Stichting Kinderopvang Varietas. The inspection took place for registration in the National Childcare Register. The location accommodates 14 children aged 2-4 years and is housed in primary school De Steenuil. After-school care (BSO) is also provided here. The location receives subsidy for early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE) and will use the Piramide program. All assessed domains meet statutory requirements: general conditions, pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, accommodation, and parental rights. The location was not yet operational at the time of inspection; the intended opening date is 17 August 2026. Some components could therefore not yet be fully assessed and will be checked at the post-registration inspection.
