Welcome to PO/KDV Baloe Wijdewormer, our daycare center located in the green heart of Wijdewormer. We provide care for up to 44 children aged 0 to 4 years in a peaceful, natural setting just five minutes from Purmerend Weidevenne. Our location is part of childcare organization Baloe and is housed in a dedicated wing of primary school Wijdewormer, with which we work closely. This unique partnership creates a safe and familiar place where your child will quickly feel at home. Our daycare center has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 142730415 since August 1, 2013. We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM and offer flexible childcare options. Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) investigation into Baloe Wijdewormer childcare was a follow-up investigation into previously identified shortcomings from November 2025. The location provides care for 44 children in three groups: one baby group and two toddler groups, one of which includes early childhood education. All three examined domains – pedagogical climate, personnel and groups, and safety and health – now comply with legal requirements. The previously identified shortcomings concerned the 960-hour early childhood education programme, timely linking of staff in the personnel register, the backup care arrangement, the professional staff-child ratio during the three-hour care arrangement, compliance with the safety policy (mushrooms in the outdoor area), and the presence of first-aid-qualified personnel. The licence holder has drawn up an action plan and implemented measures for all points, including an automated system for PRK links, a revised backup care arrangement, and structural roster checks on first aid coverage.
