About this care
Welcome to PO/KDV Baloe Weremere, our daycare center in the heart of Wormer. We are located in our own wing of Weremere primary school at Kameelstraat 26, a place we affectionately call 'De Spil' (The Hub). Here we provide daycare for babies and toddlers in two separate groups: the baby group 'Butterflies' for children aged 0-2 years and the toddler group 'Caterpillars' for children aged 2-4 years.
Our location is spacious and accommodates up to 40 children. We work with horizontal groups, where babies and toddlers have separate spaces fully tailored to their developmental stage. The baby group has quiet sleeping areas and safe play corners, while the toddler group offers more challenging play and learning areas.
We provide preschool education (VE) from 2.5 years onwards, stimulating children's development in language, numeracy, motor skills and social-emotional development. We do this according to a structured program that connects with the world of experience of young children. Parents are actively involved in their child's development process.

Summary
GGD Zaanstreek-Waterland conducted an unannounced incidental inspection on 3 July 2026 at PO/KDV Baloe Weremere in Wormer. The inspection focused on the internal relocation of the toddler group to the former gymnasium, which is shared with the after-school care (BSO) group De Draken. The location accommodates a maximum of 40 children aged 0 to 4 years and is part of the umbrella organisation Baloe. All assessed areas (administration, pedagogical climate, safety and health, and accommodation) comply with legal requirements. However, it was noted that at the time of inspection, no hand-washing facility was present next to the changing table in the new toddler room; hand washing is possible in nearby rooms. The holder has an application pending for a kitchen unit and will mount a soap/disinfectant dispenser. The safety and health policy must be updated within 3 months of the space coming into use.
