About this care
Plateau kdv Emmaschool is our daycare center located on the ground floor of Kindcentrum Emmaschool, right in the center of Assen. We provide care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since January 1, 2018, and operates under Stichting Plateau Kinderopvang.
Through our direct connection with the child center, we offer a seamless continuous development line from baby to primary school. Our childcare staff work intensively with the school teachers, allowing us to optimally track and stimulate each child's development. We maintain small groups where calmness, security, and trust are central.
Our daycare is part of Plateau's integral child center concept. This means parents have one point of contact for both childcare and education. We work with permanent childcare staff who are familiar with the development of young children. The spaces are specially designed for the youngest ones, with separate sleeping areas, changing corners, and a safe outdoor playground.

The daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) accommodates a maximum of 16 children aged 2 to 4 years and uses the Uk & Puk early childhood education method. The inspection was an unannounced annual review assessing pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and accommodation. All examined areas comply with legal requirements. The pedagogical practice is positive: staff have warm relationships with children, communicate clearly, and guide children in social interactions and developing independence. The early childhood education program is well structured, with sufficient hours, qualified staff, and an appropriate training plan. The Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) registration and deployment of pedagogical policy staff are also in order. No areas for improvement or violations were identified. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
