Summary

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) annual report of 27 October 2025 concludes that daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Tweestroom (PIT) in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht meets all statutory quality requirements following two recovery offers. The pedagogical quality is good: there is a relaxed atmosphere, staff stimulate language, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional development through a recognized early childhood education program and fixed groups with a maximum of 16 children. All childcare professionals are qualified, registered in the Persons Register, and hold current first-aid certificates. There is a pedagogical coach and mentor present per child. During the unannounced visit, two violations were identified: hand hygiene was not observed (children did not wash hands after toilet use or before eating) and the safety and health policy was not on the website. The organization immediately accepted the recovery offer, drew up an action plan, and published the policy online; the shortcomings have since been remedied (18 and 19 November 2025). The municipality is advised not to apply enforcement.
