Summary

PG ABS in Middelburg, a toddler group for children aged 2 to 4 years, was inspected on 2 July 2026 by GGD Zeeland (Municipal Health Service Zeeland). The location, part of Stichting Kinderopvang Walcheren, accommodates a maximum of 16 children and works with the recognised preschool education programme Uk & Puk. The inspection report is predominantly positive: all assessed quality requirements are met, including pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, accommodation and parental rights. The pedagogical practice is characterised by sensitive, responsive guidance in which children experience emotional safety and are playfully challenged in their development. Two minor safety points have been identified that are still being addressed: radiators still need to be fitted with covers, and a window at the changing table needs to be fully covered with window film. These points were already discussed during the registration investigation in April 2026. No violations were found and no recovery offer was made. The advice to the municipality of Middelburg is: no enforcement action.
