Toddler group Chapeau D'n Bogerd in Geldermalsen was inspected on 9 March 2026. This is a daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) for 15 toddlers aged 2 to 4 years, located in a temporary unit at primary school D'n Bogerd. The inspection showed that the location meets most quality requirements. The pedagogical climate is positive: staff create an emotionally safe environment, stimulate children's development, and work thematically using the Uk and Puk method. Personnel are well-trained and meet all requirements, including the Dutch language requirement. However, a recovery offer was made due to violations in the area of safety and health: the changing table was positioned too close to the kitchen unit without a separate handwashing facility, creating cross-contamination risks. Additionally, a gate to the school grounds could not be locked and bicycles were on the outdoor play area. The provider remedied these risks within the set timeframe. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
