About this care
Peuterschool Comenius is located in the Transvaal neighborhood at Colensostraat 6 in The Hague. We are a daycare center specially designed for children aged 2.5 to 4 years. Under the guidance of qualified pedagogical staff, children learn through play how to play together, share, listen, tell stories, sing and do crafts. Everything needed to ensure a smooth transition to primary school.
We work closely with primary school Comenius and use the same play-and-learn program. This means your child becomes familiar with the environment, teachers and working methods of the school they will attend later. The groups are small, so each child receives sufficient attention and can develop in a safe environment.
Our preschool is officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 418960240. We provide pre-school education (VE) and have space for a maximum of 16 children per session. You can choose between morning or afternoon sessions, so the childcare fits your personal situation.
Feel free to come by for a visit to get acquainted and see how we work. We are happy to tell you more about our approach and answer all your questions.Read more

Summary
Peuterschool Comenius in Den Haag provides early childhood education to a maximum of 16 toddlers per group, aged 2.5 to 4 years. The location works with the early childhood education programme 'Kleuteruniversiteit' and has its own outdoor play area. During the inspection on 18 November 2025, no violations were identified. Practice aligns well with the pedagogical policy: children are stimulated through thematic activities, language development, and play. Each child's development is tracked via the 'Mijn Kleutergroep' system, and parents are consulted three times per year. There is close collaboration with primary school Comenius for a continuous learning pathway. Safety and health are well arranged, with up-to-date policy documents, paediatric first aid, a domestic violence reporting protocol, and adherence to the four-eyes principle. All staff are registered and hold a Certificate of Conduct (VOG). There is no parent committee yet, but parents are actively involved through information meetings and consultation rounds. No complaints were filed in 2024.
Reviews
Mijn dochter is een beetje te gevoelig en heeft moeite zich aan te passen aan nieuwe omgevingen, maar deze school is erg voorzichtig en gevoelig voor ...
Slechte school.
