About this care
Welcome to Peuteropvang Tomke, located at Master Lubwei 2 in Garyp. We are a small-scale toddler group that is part of Kinderopvang Garyp. Our facility can accommodate up to 16 toddlers in a safe and familiar environment where they can grow and develop through play.
Our toddler group uses two rooms, allowing us to occasionally split the group. This enables us to offer age-appropriate activities, as three-year-olds have different needs than two-year-olds. In our main group, you'll find various corners: a cozy kitchen corner, a quiet reading corner, an upstairs play area, and a corner that matches the current theme.
We follow a bilingual Frisian-Dutch policy, where both Dutch and Frisian languages are naturally integrated. Our activities focus on learning through play, and we pay special attention to early childhood education. Children receive their fruit snack and drinks at fixed times, after which we usually go outside to play in our own garden.
