Peuteropvang t Kikkertfiskje

Peuteropvang 't Kikkertfiskje is a small-scale toddler daycare centre located in the heart of Franeker. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang Friesland and are situated within Openbare Basisschool De Steven at Noorderbolwerk 1. This allows toddlers to become familiar with the school environment in a playful and secure setting. We provide care for up to 14 children in a single horizontal group for children aged 2 to 4. The group is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 08:15 to 12:15. Please note: we are closed on Wednesdays and you cannot register your child for that day. These fixed, short mornings give young children structure and routine and allow parents to book half-day sessions. Our centre offers bilingual care in Dutch and Frisian. An important goal is to let toddlers play together in the group, but we also consider attention for the individual child very important. We work with a fixed daily rhythm and different themes. Important and fun are also the moments of free play. We eat fruit together at the table, do crafts together and go outside to play on our challenging and safe toddler playground. All starting toddlers immediately fall in love with the large slide in the middle of the room. They also really enjoy reading and doing crafts together. Safety and trust are paramount. We maintain an up-to-date safety and health policy in which risks are systematically identified and measures are recorded. All staff hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and are registered in the childcare personnel register. At least one adult qualified in paediatric first aid is always present.
