About this care
Pareltje is a pre-school for children aged 2 to 4, located in Het Kristal at Kristalweg 107, Delft. Housed in the same building as two primary schools, a daycare centre and after-school care, we provide a safe and stimulating environment where toddlers can play, discover and grow. We work with Early Childhood Education (VVE), preparing every child for primary school through play.
Our qualified staff create a warm, home-like atmosphere in which every child feels seen and safe. We offer fixed half-day sessions: children can attend two or three mornings or afternoons per week. Activities are tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages: we sing, dance, do arts & crafts, read stories and spend plenty of time outdoors. In our garden children can run around, build sandcastles and discover how plants grow.
We value parental involvement. We regularly discuss each child’s progress and parents are always welcome to drop in for a chat. Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Pareltje in Delft provides early childhood education to a maximum of 16 children aged 2-4 years. The inspection of 11 November 2025 found that the location meets the statutory quality requirements in all areas examined. The pedagogical policy is implemented extensively and concretely, with theme-based working (e.g., autumn), various play corners, and parent involvement through open play sessions, theme letters and activities. Early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE) is well organised: children receive a minimum of 960 hours of VE using the Piramide digitaal programme, development is tracked in KIJK!, there is cooperation with primary schools, and staff meet the training and language requirements. Safety and health are ensured through an up-to-date policy, two-person rule (vierogenprincipe), paediatric first aid available, domestic violence reporting protocol, and correct use of the persons register. Parents are informed via the website, newsletter and parent portal; a parent committee has not yet been formed, but parents are actively involved through a questionnaire. There were no violations or areas for improvement. The advice to the municipality is to take no enforcement measures.
