About this care
Peuteropvang Meander is located at De Hucht 2 in Heiloo and is part of Stichting Forte Kinderopvang. We are situated in a dedicated classroom within primary school De Meander. The space is clearly laid out and spacious, with various corners where children can retreat and explore play materials at their own pace. Children can also play in the sheltered, enclosed patio in the centre of the building and make use of De Meander’s schoolyard.
A special feature in our room is a wooden tree, crafted by the woodworking department of the Sint Willibrordusstichting. This tree plays a central role in the seasons the children experience with us and sets the rhythm for their activities. We offer a pre-school education programme (VVE) and work closely with the primary school to ensure a smooth transition to group 1.
We are open Monday and Thursday mornings and Tuesday and Friday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. During school holidays we are closed. The minimum attendance is two mornings per week. Registration is possible from the age of 1; children are admitted from the age of 2 (VVE children from 2.5 years). We have a maximum capacity of 16 children. - Teachers from the partner primary school were not registered in the Childcare Personnel Register (PRK) and were not linked to the licence holder, despite working structurally at the location and having access to information about the children
Summary
Peuteropvang Meander in Heiloo, part of Forte Kinderopvang, was inspected on 31 March 2026. The location provides care for 15 toddlers aged 2 to 4 years and delivers pre-school education (VE). Overall, the location meets the quality requirements well. The pedagogical climate is positive: staff adequately guide children in social interactions and there is considerable attention to language development. The pre-school education via the Uk en Puk programme is well organised. However, a violation was identified regarding the Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and the Childcare Personnel Register: teachers from the partner primary school were not registered. Following a recovery offer, this issue has been resolved. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises no enforcement action.
