About this care
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Jonas is located in the Pijlsweerd neighbourhood along the Vecht in Utrecht, in a building that was purpose-designed as a daycare center. In the hall stands a large aquarium at child height, where the toddlers have been feeding the 'monster fish' a little bit every day for 16 years! In addition to the group rooms, we have a beautiful large hall where we can do all kinds of activities with the children. There is also a movement floor that we enjoy using very much. Outside, the children can play to their heart's content with tricycles, bake a cake in the sandpit, or crawl through the 'bushes'. For the very youngest, we have our own outdoor area with a special large sun canopy. Here, the babies can lie happily in the grass and listen to the rustling of the leaves. In the studio, the children can let their creativity run free and enjoy getting wonderfully messy. On Wednesdays, there is a special 3+ group for preschoolers, where age-appropriate activities are offered to prepare them for primary school.Read more
