Peuteropvang de Taaltuin

Peuteropvang de Taaltuin is located in the same sustainable building as public primary school De Taaltuin at Thorbeckesingel 4 in Schiedam. We are a playgroup focused on children aged 2.5 to 4 years and operate from a clear language-oriented vision. Our goal is to stimulate oral language skills and Dutch comprehension in a safe and challenging environment. The toddler group is open five half-days per week: a morning group from 8:15 to 11:30 and an afternoon group from 12:00 to 15:15. Children attend two fixed half-days per week, and we work with horizontal age groups. We provide pre-school education (VVE), paying extra attention to language development and the world around us. By letting children come into contact with nature and everything that lives in it at an early age, they develop a greater awareness of all that is alive. Our Activity Team organizes activities that stimulate both the motor skills and creativity of each child. We use challenging and sustainable play materials so that a child can develop as optimally as possible. Playing is learning, especially for young children. We work closely with childcare organization Mundo, which operates daycare Puur in the same building for children aged 0-4. Children from our toddler care have priority when enrolling at De Taaltuin primary school.
