About this care
Peuteropvang De Kijkdoos has been a trusted place for young children at Swierderkerkweg 3 in Wijnandsrade since 2011. Part of Stichting Kinderopvang Nuth, we provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 years in a safe and homely environment. We work with small groups of maximum 16 children, ensuring each child receives the attention they deserve.
Our location is an official VVE location (Pre- and Early Childhood Education). We use the VVE program 'Uk en Puk' to stimulate your child's development. Through play, we work on language, motor skills and social skills. This way, we prepare toddlers for primary school in a playful manner.
De Kijkdoos is open on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:45 to 11:45 AM. We provide care in a fixed, recognizable group with permanent pedagogical staff. This gives your child peace and structure. We value parent involvement and regularly hold parent meetings.
Our pedagogical staff have extensive experience with young children. They provide a warm and safe environment where your child can develop. We focus on creative activities such as crafts and singing. We also work on language development through reading aloud and singing songs.

Toddler daycare center De Kijkdoos in Wijnandsrade, part of Stichting Kinderopvang Nuth, was inspected unannounced on 26 March 2026 by GGD Zuid-Limburg. The location provides care for a maximum of 16 children aged 2 to 4 years, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. All assessed areas meet the legal requirements: pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health. The pedagogical policy is up-to-date and adhered to in practice. The staff member holds a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and is correctly registered in the personnel register. The safety and health policy is current and covers all required risks and protocols, including a domestic violence reporting code. An adult with a pediatric first aid certificate is always present. At the previous annual inspection in May 2025, a recovery offer had been issued for the pedagogical policy; this has since been successfully resolved. No new violations or areas for improvement have been identified.
