About this care
Peuteropvang de Groenling is located in Kindcentrum De Groenling at Burgemeester Snaterlaan 68C in Oude Pekela. We provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 years in a safe and familiar environment. Our programme uses the VVE programme Startblokken, through which we offer structured activities that stimulate the broad development of your child. This includes language development, numeracy, motor skills, social skills and values. The activities are offered in a playful way, so that children learn and grow with pleasure.
Our regular pedagogical staff Gea Harms, Tjitske Metselaar, Esmee Bolman and Elga Leeraar are ready every morning to give your child a warm welcome. Because we are located within the child centre, we work closely with the primary schools. This ensures a smooth and familiar transition to group 1, as the children already know the environment and the teachers.

Peuteropvang de Groenling in Oude Pekela, part of Stichting Prim enius Kinderopvang, provides toddler care (peuteropvang) for up to 32 children aged 2 to 4 years in two groups with early education (voorschoolse educatie/VE). The annual unannounced inspection on 18 August 2026 showed that the location generally performs well. The pedagogical climate is positive: there is a clear daily schedule, children are familiar with routines, and staff intervene adequately during conflicts. The early education programme 'Uk & Puk' is correctly implemented with sufficient hourly provision and qualified staff. However, one violation was identified: the early education training plan insufficiently described how the development of young children in the areas of language, numeracy, motor skills and social-emotional development is stimulated. The location made use of the recovery offer and this shortcoming has since been remedied. All other areas, including Certificate of Conduct (VOG), persons register, core groups and stability, are in compliance.
