About this care
Welcome to Peutergroep IKC De Regenboog, operated by Kind en Co Ludens. We provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 at the Integral Child Centre De Regenboog, Aeolusweg 8, De Bilt. Our toddler group is designed for the youngest children in our IKC. We use an official Early Childhood Education programme that focuses on language development. Through play, children learn new words, practise listening and speaking, and grow socially, emotionally and physically.
Toddlers can join us every Wednesday and Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We work with themes that match the children’s world. Within each theme we sing songs, read stories, do crafts and play games. Outdoor play is part of the day: we use our own garden and the playground of De Regenboog primary school. Inside the group there are different play corners such as a home corner and a construction corner, so children can explore whatever interests them.
A bread meal is included and we create a homely, safe atmosphere where every child feels welcome. Because we are part of the IKC, children already get to know the school and the pedagogical staff, making the transition to primary school easier.
