About this care
At SPL – Samen spelen en ontdekken, we offer a warm and safe environment for children aged 2 to 4 years. Our toddler playgroups (peuterspeelzalen) are designed to stimulate children's development and prepare them for primary school. We believe every child deserves unique opportunities to flourish.
Our childcare practitioners observe each child and provide support where needed. Through play and discovery, children learn together with their peers. We work with monthly themes that spark children's curiosity and encourage them to learn and grow.
In addition, we offer a wide range of activities, including music and movement, arts and crafts, and language development. Our locations feature spacious play areas, both indoors and outdoors, where children can play and explore safely. We place great importance on healthy nutrition and ensure our children receive healthy meals every day.

Summary
Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hollands Midden conducted an unannounced annual inspection at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) pc De Mors in Leiden on 27 January 2026. The location, operated by Stichting Peuterspeelzalen Leiden e.o., provides early childhood education to 16 children aged 2 to 4 years, four mornings per week. All assessed quality requirements in the areas of pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health were fully met. The pedagogical practice is characterized by a relaxed, open atmosphere in which children feel emotionally safe. Staff respond sensitively and responsively to children, stimulate language development through interactive reading, and enrich play. The Pyramid early childhood education program is correctly implemented with sufficient hours, and the pedagogical policy staff member is adequately deployed. All staff hold the required diplomas, Certificates of Conduct (VOG), and language proficiency level 3F. The staff-child ratio was in order. No areas for improvement or violations were identified.
