Summary
BSO De Markenburg in Geervliet, part of Stichting Kinderopvang Nissewaard, was inspected on 23 March 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Rotterdam-Rijnmond. The after-school care (BSO) accommodates 20 children aged 4 to 13. All assessed quality requirements were found to be in order, including pedagogical policy, pedagogical practice, staff qualifications, staff-to-child ratio, language of instruction, safety and health policy, and reporting obligations. The pedagogical practice showed strong points: personal attention upon arrival, active listening to children, and adequate conflict management. At an earlier inspection in April 2025, the pedagogical policy was not in order; through a recovery offer, this was subsequently brought into compliance. No violations or areas for improvement were identified at this inspection. The GGD advises the municipality of Nissewaard not to take enforcement measures.
