Subsidy & costs
At Nanny Service Nederland, you are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) because we exclusively work with qualified nannies. The benefit can be received retroactively, with registration in the National Childcare Register being decisive. From the moment the registration is complete (usually within 8-10 weeks), childcare benefit is possible. Please note that childcare benefit must be applied for within 3 months of starting care. We offer an online calculator to determine your net contribution.
We charge a mediation fee for arranging recruitment, selection and the correct registrations. In addition, we continuously guide both the nanny and the parents during the collaboration. The recommended rate for a nanny is between €15 and €20 per hour. Through our online tool, parents can calculate themselves what a nanny costs net, including childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). The nanny is entitled to 4 weeks of paid holiday and 6 weeks of sick pay (at least 70% of wages).
Trust & screening
Our screening of nannies is very extensive. We invite suitable candidates for an extensive selection interview. We request relevant references and verify these. Nannies must hold a diploma from a child-focused education programme, a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG, no older than 2 months), a first aid diploma and a valid proof of identity. We always support nannies in obtaining the correct documents. After selection, an extensive induction module follows for every nanny.
Nanny Service Nederland operates in accordance with the Childcare Act and is inspected annually by the Municipal Health Service (GGD). To date, we have received the green colour code every year, the highest score. We are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK number: 160395008 for head office) and have Chamber of Commerce number 68620632. Our nannies must hold a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG, no older than 2 months), a first aid diploma and a diploma from a child-focused education programme. We carry out a Risk Inventory Safety and Health at the family's home at the start.
