About this care
Welcome to Kinderopvang Muissie located at Hofkampstraat 104 in Almelo. Since August 23, 2007, under the direction of drs C. de Jong, orthopedagogue, we have been providing childcare services. We offer care for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old, with our toddler group specifically designed for children from 2.5 years.
Our childcare focuses on your growing child. Because we are led by an orthopedagogue, we can pay a lot of attention to stimulating your child's development. We believe in an approach where every child gets the space to develop at his or her own pace, with the right guidance and support.
At our location on Hofkampstraat, a maximum of 32 children can be accommodated. We have three different locations in Almelo, through which we have built a broad network in the region. Our team consists of qualified pedagogical staff who work with great pleasure and dedication every day on the development and well-being of your child.

BSO Muissie at Hofkampstraat 104 in Almelo provides after-school care (BSO) for up to 21 children aged 4–12. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection visit on 8 October 2025. The location meets all assessed statutory requirements: the pedagogical policy and practice are in order, children show enjoyment and engagement, staff are qualified and hold the correct declarations, staff-to-child ratios are correct, the safety and health policy is in place and is discussed, the domestic violence reporting protocol is up-to-date, and parents are well informed through multiple channels. There was one minor point: during the visit, continuous ventilation was not maintained as prescribed by policy; this was evaluated with the team immediately afterwards. No violations were found and no recovery offer was required. The advice to the municipality is to take no enforcement action.
