About this care
BSO 't Ronde, located at Uilenhoeve 39 in Leusden, forms a Montessori Child Centre (0-13 years) together with the day-care centre and Montessori School 't Ronde. Our after-school care is intentionally small-scale and consists of two groups for children aged 4–7 and one group for children aged 6–13. All groups are designed specifically for pupils of the Montessori school.
After school, children can enjoy themselves in a carefully prepared environment that offers both classic after-school activities and plenty of room to relax. BSO is not school, music class or sports club: here children have 100 % free time. They decide for themselves what they want to do—experiment in the kitchen, start creative projects or explore outdoors. We challenge them to think up their own investigations and try out new ideas.
Our qualified staff collect the youngest children from school; older children walk or cycle. When necessary, transport by car, minibus or taxi can be arranged. BSO 't Ronde is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:30.
Our approach is rooted in the Montessori principle “Help me to do it myself”. We observe each child’s needs and offer materials and activities that match their stage of development, fostering independence, responsibility and creative thinking. Summary
BSO 't Ronde in Leusden, part of Humankind, was inspected on 16 March 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Utrecht region. The after-school care (BSO) accommodates up to 71 children aged 4 to 12 years. The annual inspection shows a predominantly positive picture: pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and parental rights fully meet requirements. For safety and health, a recovery offer was made because staff had insufficient knowledge of the mandatory reporting, consultation and filing obligations and the role of the confidential inspector. Following the recovery offer, in which the location manager sent the information by email, follow-up investigation on 4 May 2026 found that staff are now sufficiently informed. The location advises the municipality not to take enforcement measures.
