Summary

This inspection report concerns an annual investigation of the childminder/host parent care (gastouderopvang) of Markvoort van den Brink in Utrecht. The childminder cares for three children (ages 3, 7 and 9) on Thursdays at the requesting parent's home. The pedagogical climate is assessed positively: the childminder provides emotional safety, stimulates development through play, and has a good bond with the children. However, two shortcomings were identified. First, the childminder's first aid certificate had expired (valid until 6 April 2025) due to a broken wrist that prevented completion of the practical component. Her partner does hold a valid certificate. Second, the safety and health risk assessment (RIE) was not up to date at the time of inspection. For the latter violation, a recovery offer was made; the RIE has since been updated and signed. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
