About this care
Welcome to KDV Marimba, part of Kindcentrum Marimba in Uden. We provide childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a warm and safe environment. Our location at Steenovenstraat 2 in Uden features two specialized KDV groups: one group for children aged 0-2 years and one group for children aged 2-4 years. This allows us to optimally respond to the developmental needs of each age group.
As part of Kiem Education and Childcare, we work from the conviction that children develop best in a challenging and stimulating environment. We accommodate 47 children in our KDV location. Our professional pedagogical staff are ready to guide your child in their development, focusing on the unique talents of each child.
Our childcare center is housed in a modern building where childcare seamlessly connects with the primary education of Dalton Kindcentrum Marimba. Strengths
- The pedagogical policy is well implemented in practice, with attention to settling in of new children
- Early childhood education is delivered using the Piramide digital programme, with varied activities for language, numeracy, motor skills and social-emotional development

- Early childhood education: one qualified staff member did not have language proficiency level 3F VE, meaning the mandatory ratio of 1 qualified staff member VE per 8 children was not met
- Safety and health: qualified staff did not act in accordance with the hygiene policy when changing nappies (hands not washed, changing mat not cleaned, changing table not near a tap)
- Safety and health: qualified staff had insufficient knowledge of the mandatory reporting, consultation and filing obligations when suspecting a sexual offence or abuse by a colleague or provider
- Parental rights: the complaints procedure lacked mandatory elements regarding informing about progress and prompt handling of complaints
Summary
The annual inspection of kinderdagverblijf Marimba of Kiem Opvang in Uden took place on 21 May 2026. The location provides care for 47 children aged 0 to 4 years in three core groups and is subsidised for early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VVE). Four areas were found to be immediately compliant: pedagogical policy plan, childcare personnel register, child abuse reporting protocol, and information/parent committee. Three violations were identified for which a recovery offer (herstelaanbod) was made: a shortfall in a qualified staff member with language proficiency level 3F VE resulting in an incorrect ratio, failure to act in accordance with the hygiene policy during nappy changing, and insufficient staff knowledge of reporting, consultation and filing obligations.
