The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection report from June 2026 for daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Maria in Hoorn shows a predominantly positive picture with some serious shortcomings in the area of early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie). The location meets most quality requirements, including pedagogical climate, staff qualifications, safety and accommodation. Three violations were identified in early childhood education: a missing method description in the work plan (remedied via recovery offer), and two violations without recovery offer concerning insufficiently qualified personnel. The location deliberately chose to deploy unqualified substitute staff for four weeks during illness of a permanent staff member, which is in violation of statutory requirements.
