Madelief Kinderopvang at Wiardi Beckmanstraat 17 in Amsterdam provides daycare for children aged 0 to 4 years. Summary
Madelief Kinderopvang in Amsterdam was inspected unannounced by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) on 12 February 2026. The daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) with 32 places, divided between a baby group and a toddler group, meets all inspected quality requirements. The pedagogical practice is good: staff members provide emotional safety, stimulate social and personal development, and work with sufficient personnel. There is however one point of attention: in both groups, tape is used to mark a line on the floor to demarcate activities, which limits the available play space. This is inconsistent with the location's own pedagogical policy regarding sufficient space for free exploration. The manager has committed to discussing this with the team. The digital coaching of pedagogical staff members is a pilot that will be evaluated at a later stage.
