About this care
Welcome to BSO Lumen, located in the Integral Child Center at Velveweg 56 in Enschede. As part of KOSMO, we provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a homely and safe environment. We work closely with primary school De Uitvinding and Catholic primary school De Kubus, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care.
Our BSO focuses on relaxation, play and development after a busy school day. Children have the freedom to choose from various activities based on their own interests and needs. We offer a warm place where children feel at home and where parents can leave their children with peace of mind.
BSO Lumen is housed in a modern building with spacious and bright rooms. We use the facilities of the Integral Child Center, allowing children to play, discover and meet in a familiar environment. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide children in their development and give them a great time after school.

Summary
On 22 May 2026, GGD Twente conducted an unannounced annual inspection at BSO Lum en in Enschede, part of KOSMO Zuid-Twente B.V. The after-school care (BSO) accommodates 40 children (ages 4-13) across two base groups. All assessed requirements regarding pedagogical climate (policy and practice) and staff and groups (Certificate of Good Conduct [VOG], qualification requirements, deployment of pedagogical policy officer, stability) have been fully met. The pedagogical practice demonstrated notable strengths: staff know children personally, provide emotional support, communicate openly with parents, organise purposeful activities, and guide children effectively in social interactions and conflict resolution. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
