LPS childcare Anton van Duinkerken (toddler care & after-school care) is located at Smitsstraat 29 in the Gageldonk-Oost district of Bergen op Zoom. We are part of the LPS Childcare Foundation, which belongs to the Lowys Porquin Foundation. Located within Anton van Duinkerken primary school, we offer toddler care (ages 2-4) and after-school care (ages 4-12).
Our pedagogical staff work from four pillars: Learning who you are, We do it together, Room to grow and Healthy & happy. We offer a familiar environment where children learn and develop through play. In toddler care we use the Piramide developmental program and the KIJK! child monitoring system to follow and stimulate your child's development.
Toddler care is open from 08:30 to 12:30. Besides free play, toddlers are stimulated with themes following a structured curriculum. The after-school care provides before and after school care with time for relaxation, creative activities and outdoor play. Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced follow-up investigation on 1 July 2026 at LPS Kinderopvang Anton van Duinkerken in Bergen op Zoom. This investigation was a reassessment of a previously identified violation in the area of parental rights, specifically regarding the parent committee. During the annual inspection on 17 November 2025, it was found that no parent committee had been established and that parents were not demonstrably involved in advisory matters, including a price change. In this follow-up investigation, the provider demonstrated that sufficient efforts had been made: posters were displayed, digital appeals were sent, parents were approached personally, and an information evening was planned. It was also demonstrated that alternative parent consultation had taken place regarding pedagogical policy and that an action plan is ready for price changes.
