Subsidy & costs
Smarttkids supports parents with the application for childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). We help with provisional calculations and forwarding information to the Tax and Customs Administration. Parents can also do a provisional calculation themselves via the Tax and Customs Administration website. The amount of the benefit depends on combined income, work/study situation, number of children, and care hours. The costs for childminder care (gastouderopvang) consist of two parts: an hourly rate that you pay to the childminder (which the childminder determines themselves) and placement costs that you pay to Smarttkids. The placement costs depend on the number of care hours you use. These costs cover our services such as invoicing, evaluation meetings, risk assessments, drawing up agreements, and support with childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). Trust & screening
All childminders at Smarttkids undergo thorough screening and must at minimum meet the following requirements: a valid diploma, first aid certificate for children, Certificate of Good Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag, also for household members over 18), valid identification, knowledge of pedagogy and child abuse protocol, and registration in the persons register. Additionally, our placement coordinators assess the home for safety, hygiene, and space for children during the intake.
